Children of Holocaust Survivors Present their Stories at Congregation Shir Shalom to B'Yachad and our Community: Sunday, March 3, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

We are thrilled to have Renee Pessin and Aron Hirt-Manheimer present their stories as children of Holocaust survivors to our students (fifth through seventh graders), their parents, and members of the Shir Shalom community. Renee’s mother, Helen, was the only survivor of her immediate and extended family of more than 50 people. Renee feels it is more urgent than ever to share their story, especially to young listeners, to ensure that history does not repeat itself.

Aron Hirt-Manheimer will share a story from his forthcoming memoir, Sons of Survivors, about his experience going back to his father’s birthplace in Poland. There will be time for Q & A after each presentation.   Please RSVP below with how many will be attending.
